INSTRUCTIONS

PROJECT 3

For this project, we will learn to create a proposal for 360 video. Mr Martin shows us a short firm that is made from the seniors and we need to use it as our inspiration to create our own ideas to film in 360 video and write the proposal. Below is the short firm:

After watching the short film named ' Nightmare', I begin discussing the idea with my group mate, Elysa. The short film is about a girl's nightmare. She dreamed a guy was trying to kill her and the next day when she woke up, the same incidient happen which same as what she has dreamed. We need to think in how can we shoot this into 360 video to convey the idea of ' Nightmare'. As Mr Martin said,  shooting the dream was not working in 360 video because the viewers would not know they were in a dream scene in a 360 video. Therefore, we should think of another story that can capture the same experience which is fear. Through our discussion, we found that the story of a girl who lives alone and something bad happens to her would work in 360 video.

Below is the proposal.

REFLECTION

In Project 3, I learned a lot about how to tell a story in a 360° video. Mr. Martin explained that storytelling in this format is hard because we need to let the viewers feel and experience the story, so they become the ones telling it in the end.

At first, it was really challenging to change the short film idea into a 360° video. We had to think carefully about how to make the audience feel immersed and engaged in every scene. But after discussing with my groupmates, we found the right direction to take. Working together helped us finish the proposal successfully.

This project taught me how important it is to plan and be creative when making a 360° video. It was a good learning experience for me.
