PROJECT
Part 1: Idea Development
1. Write a biography about myself
My name is Sue Zhiun and I’m 20 years old. I’m taking Bachelor of Design in Creative Media.
What is my passion?
My passion is listening to music. It's more than just something fun for me – it's like my life's energy. I enjoy all kinds of music because it takes me on a trip through different feelings and stories. Whether it's a slow song that comforts me or a fast one that makes me want to dance, music is like a friend that's always there.
What’s motivate me to achieve your dream?
My family and friends are super important in helping me chase my dream. They're like my cheerleaders, always cheering me on. When they believe in me, it makes me want to do my best. Their support is like a boost that helps me get through tough times and celebrate the good ones.
How do I want to visualise my dream into an artwork?
I would depict a sunrise over a calm sea, symbolising the dawn of true happiness. The artwork would use warm and happy colours to capture the essence of finding true happiness in life's simple and beautiful moments, creating a sense of joy and calmness.
2. Write a statement about my work
What's about my work
My work is a visual exploration of the rhythm of life, presented in the interface of a mobile music app. It's a way to show life's rhythm, just like the music we love, all in a simple and easy-to-understand design.
What's the concept behind it?
The poster is just like the music app on our phone, but instead of songs, it's all about my life. My life is the main melody, and the CD player symbolizes my special soundtrack. The floating musical notes represent different parts of my life story. The "pause" button is essential, reminding us how nice it is to take a break. It's like a picture of finding a good balance and happiness in the everyday rhythm of life.
What's the message I want people to understand it?
I want people to understand that life is a bit like music. It's okay to hit pause when you need a break. This project is a reminder to find peace in the pauses, to take a moment and appreciate the beauty of your own life soundtrack.
Life goes on, but it’s okay to hit pause when you need a break.
